On Tuesday and Wednesday, I along with 4 classroom teachers will take part in the Fifth Annual Response to Intervention (RtI) Institute. This Institute will take place at the Region 13 Education Service Center in Austin and will be offering sessions that will include: Progress Monitoring Tools/Resources, Data Analysis, RtI for Administrators, Reading Interventions, RtI Math, CSCOPE and RtI, RtI and our Accountability Systems, Crucial Conversations, Legal Issues and much more.
This will be the second time in two years that Smithville Elementary will be in attendance at the institute. The institute has been a very good conference that stimulated productive professional conversation that contributed to changes in progress monitoring this school year.
I am excited to learn more about the latest research and how to use the information to provide a better academic environment for our students. I am encouraged that this institute incorporates our district curriculum, CSCOPE, in the list of presentations.
